Attendee Guidelines

Revised:  2009-12-01

Las Cruces Anime Day (LCAD) requests and expects all its attendees to conduct themselves in a reasonable and mature manner and to treat other attendees, the LCAD Guest of Honor, the LCAD staff and the New Mexico State University (NMSU) staff with respect and courtesy. LCAD requests and expects cooperation and compliance with instructions given by LCAD staff.

Respect people's personal space. DO NOT TOUCH ANYONE WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION. If you feel that someone is making you feel uncomfortable, please contact LCAD Staff immediately. Please refrain from running, rough play, non-consensual glomping or any other behavior that could endanger your safety and that of those around you. Please follow all specific guidelines applicable to the specific activities that you wish to take part in.

All attendees must abide by the Prop Policy. A warning will be given for any behavior that violates the activity guidelines or for conduct deemed inappropriate by LCAD staff. A subsequent offense will result in confiscation of badge and escorting out of the convention, either by LCAD staff or by the NMSU Campus Police.

Please be advised that the convention is held in NMSU property so compliance with NMSU guidelines and procedures will also be observed in addition to LCAD guidelines. NMSU buildings and facilities are smoke-free so please refrain from smoking within the convention grounds. Please help maintain the facilities clean by picking up after yourself and placing trash in the appropriate containers.

Use/possession of illegal substances/drugs and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages will not be tolerated on con grounds. NMSU Campus Police will be immediately notified.

Helpful Tips:

  • Make sure you eat.
  • Don't forget to bring any medications you need and to take them at their appropriate times.
  • The con is in the middle of winter.  It WILL be cold and perhaps wet/slippery if it rains/snows.  Make sure your attire is appropriate for the climate.
  • Make sure your personal hygiene is completed when you come to the con.
  • It's okay to try to make new friends but please careful who you give your personal information to.  Do NOT give out your personal information to just anyone.  If you do give it out, make sure it's done in a discreet manner so that random people don't hear it.  In other words, don't shout: "MY NUMBER IS 555..."
